Two pounds of redworms contains approximately 2,000 worms. Redworms are also known as red wrigglers due to their hyperactive nature. They eat, crawl and move fast. They are known to consume as much food as their weight per day. That's a lot of food! Food they consume is excreted as casting. The casting is so rich in nutrients, it has been known to improve plant or vegetable growth when the casting is used as fertilizer.
