Anemone-Flowered Dahlias
Anemone-Flowered Dahlias is not common, but like single Dahlias,
it has only one or two rows of pedal surrounding a group of
dense tubular florets. They are not commonly grown but are
useful for bedding. They possess some fascinating color
combinations with some rare colors like lavender or lilac
color varieties.
Collarette Dahlias
Collarette Dahlias has a row of attractive outer petals are that
are wide and flat, its second rows surround and open center.
There is usually a contrasting color combination between the
two rows of pedal such as a short inner row of a light color
set against rows of dark colored outer petals, producing

More than 75 per cent of Dahlias today are decorative. Some

Ball Dahlias
Ball Dahlias have ball shaped blooms with full double and
refluxing pedals that produced a globular looking form of its
bloom. It is elegant looking. There are two types of Ball
Dahlias; namely Show or Fancy. The show Ball Dahlias has one
color while the Fancy Ball Dahlias has a blend of colors.
Small Ball Dahlias are also known to be called Miniatures.
Pompon Dahlias
Pompon Dahlias are miniaturized Ball Dahlias with flower
diameter of not more than 2".. It is discovered in Germany in
mid 20th Century and baptized as "Lilliput", the name of Pompon
was used in France due to its resemblance to the pompons used
by the French sailors. Pompon Dahlias has stiff petals that
will last long, it is very beautiful, decorative and popular as
a cut flower.
Cactus Dahlias
Cactus Dahlias are small to medium in size with certain
varieties that has 12" diameter or more. It has a rolled,
slender, narrow and spiky petals that wins its name of
"Cactus". Most Cactus Dahlias have slight in curving pedals.
Miscellaneous Dahlias
Miscellaneous Dahlias are Dahlias that do not fall into any of
